Michael Robert Evans

Caldera of Evil is the working title of my latest novel. It’s a middle-grade, grounded fantasy novel featuring a colorful collection of eighth-graders who set out to destroy a horrible conspiracy. I received some wonderful feedback recently from several sources—my wife, Joanna; our son Miles and his wife, Lauren; and an agent who volunteered to meet with authors at a recent Maine Writers and Publishers Alliance event. (Many thanks, Marin Takikawa!) I have been revising with abandon, and I just sent queries to the first batch of about 25 agents. More to come, but I’m taking a pause to see what kind of response I receive. It’s a joy to work on this project!
